Polly Waite comes from a background in design and a family history in antiques. She studied upholstery at the Traditional Upholstery Workshop, under the skilled and watchful eye of Liz Marks. Since then she has been using her trained eye to turn tired old chairs into one of o kind, coveted pieces. There have also been many creative commissions over the years, from double decker buses, hand made cloud sofas at festivals to treasured antique restoration projects, nothing has been too big, small or strange to be taken on with passion and skill..
Polly has created a beautiful and unique teaching studio in Falmouth, Cornwall. Here you can learn to restore your items of furniture and many other artisan crafts, surrounded by clouds and in a relaxed and fun environment. She also still continues to teach weekend courses at The Good Life Centre in London’s trendy Borough area.
More Recently Polly has become one of the specialist restorers on Channel 4’s new show, Mend It For Money. Helping to keep beautiful and rare furniture alive and loved.
