Jewellery Making

Seaglass Sessions are all about creating your own stylish and individual piece of jewellery.

They will now be held regularly at Polliander Studios, in Falmouth. Whether you have a special piece of seaglass to make into silver jewellery or are looking to get into the wonderful artisan craft of making jewellery, you will be taught everything you need. Whether you are a total novice or have some experience, we will help you walk away with new skills and beautiful piece of jewellery to keep.

Jewellery making is a great way to switch off, unwind and enjoy the moment. Our course sizes are kept at just 2-4 people, enabling you get all the attention you need to produce a quality product to take home. The courses can be booked privately for groups, one on one or you can join a course from the calendar to meet like-minded people.

Laura, founder of Porth Jewellery, runs the course. Laura has a background of teaching and set up Porth Jewellery in 2018. She is keen to share her knowledge of making silver and seaglass jewellery in a fun, safe and nurturing environment.

Our teaching studio is a unique and special space that will ignite and enthuse your creativity whilst helping you switch off from the modern World. We’re a low-tech studio, so we don’t have wireless internet but you can expect to find a very friendly and supportive environment. We go out of our way to make sure all of your needs are taken care of. Tea, coffee, filtered water and afternoon treats are all provided. Even our toiletries are home made so your hard-working hands get a bit of extra love too.

Our workshops last between four and a half to five hours depending how chatty the group is!

The price includes all materials, refreshments and tuition. If you would like to purchase gift boxes for your creations (if you haven’t made yourself something you want to wear straight away) then these can be purchased at the end for a small fee.

Courses run from 12 noon-5pm unless otherwise advertised or arranged. Sessions can be arranged and booked for small groups up to a maximum of 4 people. These are suited for get-togethers, hen-do’s, birthdays and presents. As there are various tools involved there is strictly no alcohol to be consumed before or during the sessions and we can only accept people over 18.

The seaglass can be your own; please send a photo before so that we can offer advice. Alternatively you can ask to look through the Porth collections for your perfect piece. You will need to arrive 15 minutes early to do this and it helps if you have browsed Porth Jewellery and Seaglass Sessions in advance to have an idea about what colour or size you would like.

The dates of our up coming courses are on the Timetable page and you can book online by following the link to Porth Jewellery. Alternatively, you can contact Porth Jewellery for dates and booking.

We look forward to welcoming you at the Seaglass Sessions soon.
